As an Artist- "I am what I see."  To become connected with the subject matter and their surroundings I must submerse myself with and around them.  This is accomplished first in their environment then brought to the canvas.  I then can share my understanding and relationship that has developed thus far.  A completed painting for me is like that of their paused energy with sustainable character of anticipation.  A connection and possibly a reflection of its' soul and their viewers amongst all the grey areas seen and unseen.  These grey areas allow even the dullest of color to shine and create an everlasting mood like that of visualizing someones story.

"I Search for the realness, the real feeling of a subject, all the texture around it...  I always want to see the third dimension of something...  I want to come alive with the object."
-Andrew Wyeth
